The new summerhouse is now complete and ready for visitors to enjoy. It is so much improved on the last one that the high tide in February 2014 destroyed. It has a large picture window at the front that gives a wide panoramic view of the Solway Firth that one can sit and watch the tide coming and going. There is also the patio doors which look along the shoreline and up to Criffel the small mountain that dominates the skyline for miles around.
There is ample seating inside around 3 sides and the stunning log cabin effect of the seaside themed interior. From the minute you enter a calmness and peaceful feeling engulfs you. You can sit and relax watching birds, porpoises, a stoat, rabbits and the occasional otter from here. It is fabulous!
